Hydrocyclone

Hydrocyclone is a device that classifies materials according to grain size and uses centrifugal force to increase the precipitation rate of particles. It is one of the most important devices in the mineral industry and widely used in closed circuit grinding operations. It is also preferred in many other applications such as degritting, desliming, and thickening.

As the Salt Refining Line, we produce smooth, abrasion-resistant materials to extend the life of all parts. To optimize performance on every application, we have hydrocyclones that different types, different sizes, and different internal fittings.

Hydrocyclone | Working Principle

Place Holder - White

Hydrocyclone has 2 outputs. The lower part is the smaller place where the unloading takes place, and the upper part is used as the larger feeding part. The centrifugal pump is used to pump drilling fluids from sludge tank to the hydrocyclone set. As a consequence of the feed slurry centrifugal force, when tangentially enter the hydrocyclone under pressure, the materials larger than the cut-off point size enter into main vortex adjacent to the wall and emptied with water. The finer particles than the cut-off point size migrate along the axis of the hydrocyclone into a vortex that moves upward in the secondary, and vortex finds a large part of water through the finder.

Hydrocyclone | Parts

Feeding Pipe

Hydrocyclone hasn’t moved part. The biggest factor in the classification of materials is the speed of water entering the cyclone tangentially. The higher the speed, the more efficient the sorting and classification.

The Large Material Outlet Pipe

It is is the smallest part of the diameter. It is abrasion resistant, constant or replaceable.

The Fine Material Outlet Pipe

Its smooth, abrasion-resistant and cylindrical shape enhance the efficiency of the application.
